6. The ISP acknowledges the Call-Request and sends a CNum
of 654321:

7. The caller dials the CNum:

8. The ISP acknowledges the call and provides the files on both
links:

9. The caller completes the download and his Idle Threshold
falls below 20% for the Demand Period of 30 seconds. A
Link-Drop-Query-Request is sent to the ISP:

10. The ISP acknowledges the Link-Drop-Query-Request:
2 calls at 128000 b/s
11. The caller drops the additional bandwidth and nominal
bandwidth resumes:
1 call at 64000 b/s
When the caller's use of the existing bandwidth (64000 b/s)
exceeds the values set in the Demand Threshold parameter (80%)
for the amount of time specified in the Demand Period parameter
(30 seconds), a Call-Request is sent to the ISP requesting extra
bandwidth.
The ISP supplies another 64000 b/s of bandwidth by providing
the caller with an additional line to call (CNum 654321). The
caller dials the CNum and files are passed down both links using
the multilink protocol.
When the caller's utilization of all the bandwidth (128000 b/s)
reaches or falls below the value set for the idle Threshold (20%)
for the Demand Period value (30 seconds), the caller sends a
Link-Drop-Query-Request to the ISP.
The ISP acknowledges the Link-Drop-Query-Request, and the
extra bandwidth (CNum 654321) is dropped.
