enabled, disabled
This parameter is used in CHAP challenges. When
enabled (the default), the unit ID presented by the
remote unit during a CHAP challenge is compared
against this path name. If it is different to the path name,
the call is dropped.
With this option disabled, the unit ID presented in the
CHAP challenge is assumed to be correct and
connection continues as normal.
This parameter is useful when you are dialling into an
ISP who has multiple routers attached to one telephone
number. It is likely that each router has a different name.
As you cannot be certain of the name or the router you
attach to when calling the ISP, de-selecting this option
means that the remote router names are not compared to
the name of this path.
Disable the parameter if you have problems connecting
to an ISP when all the other options you have entered are
correct.
