4.
Erase the old configuration
The NauticaRS Version 5 software is larger( that is, its image
takes up more space) than the earlier versions, the location of
the configuration sector is different. It is essential that the old
configuration is erased before attempting to load any new
router code.
Connect a terminal to the Manager port using the cable and
adaptor provided and select 'K' to erase the configuration.
5.
Download the new CLAM Bootloader
With the CLAM in bootmode (with the LED flashing amber),
connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN port. It is
recommended that you do this with a single RJ-45 cable
between your PC and the CLAM.
Note:
A CLAM can be connected to either a hub or a
transceiver; use a straight or crossover cable, as appropriate.
Execute the following command from a DOS prompt:
c:> clamload clam.ldr -boot
Caution:
Be careful with this command. If the download fails
part way through, or if you download the wrong file, the CLAM
must be returned to the factory for repair.
Note:
If the clamload command appears not to finish loading,
leave the CLAM for a little while, power cycle it and the new
loader is running.
