Replacing the batteries
The S5 System has an integrated test routine for the batteries (see the Operating Instructions). When the
batteries no longer deliver the required power values or are defect, they must be replaced immediately
(in order to ensure that the UPS functions properly).

Note that the risk of short circuits remains as long as the batteries are connected and charged, even
though the mains power cable may be disconnected.

First loosen the indicated screws

Remove the bridge between the batteries to avoid potential short circuits.

Next, loosen the indicated screws
battery A 7.
◗
Loosen the socket head screws on the retaining bracket (DIN 912 M4x8 / allen key size 3 mm).
◗
Open the retaining bracket upwards.
◗
Pull the battery out vertically.
◗
Replace the battery.
◗
Use the same procedure to replace the second battery as well.
The batteries should be replaced only as pairs.
The installation and connection of the new batteries is carried out in the reverse order.
You must only use the aluminum screws supplied with the new batteries.
