H S5 control panels for mast
roller pumps
As you can see from the previous list of components, certain assemblies of the S5 System cannot be
repaired separately by a service technician on site. Therefore please take note of the following
conditions before you begin to perform service:
E/P pack
Due to its weight, removal of the E/P pack is best done by two persons. Also note that the S5 System
features a UPS supplied by two batteries. When you are working on the E/P pack, the danger of short
circuits remains as long as the batteries are connected and charged, even though the mains power cable
may be disconnected.
Pumps and mast roller pumps
Adjustment of the mechanical components requires precision instruments and test equipment that the
local service technician does not have at hand. Therefore the following faults cannot be eliminated
directly and require replacement of the complete pump head:

Defective motor

Defective Hall effect sensor
◗
Mechanical fault (e.g. defective bearings, unusual noises during operation)
On-site repairs can be performed by replacement of circuit boards or individual assemblies (e.g. shaft
encoder, connecting cable). The circuit boards themselves should not be repaired on site.
System panel and control panels for mast roller pumps
The same restrictions apply for the System panel and the control panels as for the pumps: mechanical
components cannot be repaired on site. On-site repairs can be performed by replacement of circuit
boards or individual assemblies (e.g. touch screen, connecting cable). The circuit boards themselves
should not be repaired on site.
Sensor modules
On-site repairs can be performed by replacement of circuit boards. The circuit boards themselves should
not be repaired on site.
