Turning the Transceiver ON/ OFF
Turning the Transceiver ON
For Portable, rotating the Power switch clockwise causes the transceiver to be turned ON.
For Mobile, pressing the Power switch causes the transceiver to be turned ON. Also, the transceiver can be turned ON by
linking to the status of the Ignition Sense port of a vehicle. (Refer to

If the data is written to the transceiver and the password is not configured

Turn the Transceiver ON.
A Power-on Tone A (1 beep) sounds from the transceiver, and then an
animated logo appears for 500 ms.
If Custom Start-up Screen is configured, a Power-on Tone A (1 beep)
sounds from the transceiver when the transceiver is turned ON and the
bitmapped image configured for the transceiver appears for 2 sec. (Refer

If Power-on Text is configured, the Power-on Text appears for 2 sec after
"SELF TESTING" appears. (Refer to
