Comment
• When the following message is displayed while you set the IP address in
the LAN switch module, set the authentication information by
module lansw authentication on page 2-99
E0213 : <Switch module 0> Failed to management LAN settings. Could
not connect to the switch module because of the authentication failure.
• When the following message is displayed while you set the IP address in
the LAN switch module, the address has been already used by the LAN
switch module. Check the IP address and reset it.
E0211 : <Switch module 0> Failed to setting IP address to LAN switch
module. Network address has been used by the LAN switch module.
• When Network OS version 3.0.0 runs on a Brocade 10 Gb DCB switch
module, the default gateway setting from the management module does
not take effect on the DCB switch module. Log into the DCB switch
module and configure it using the ip route command. For details, see the
Network OS Administrator's Guide. If Network OS version 2.0.1 runs on a
Brocade 10 Gb DCB switch module, you cannot configure the gateway.

set sw-module lansw authentication

set sw-module lansw authentication <sw_no> -i <sw_login_id> [-p
<sw_login_passwd>] [-a <sw_admin_passwd>] [-F]
Description
Sets the authentication information for connecting to the LAN switch module
to the management module. The authentication information that is set in this
command is only used when setting the IP address of LAN switch module.
If deleting the default account (operator, no password) of LAN switch module,
set the account of switch module using this command in the management
module. To use this configured account after setting.
The target LAN switch modules are as follows:
• 1 Gb/sec LAN switch module (40-port)
• 1 Gb/sec LAN switch module (20-port)
• 1/10 Gb/sec LAN switch module
