Login

1 Start the terminal emulator as a system console (telnet or something).

2 Set the IP address of the management module by SSH or telnet when the

terminal emulator connected through LAN. Set the serial port number
(COM port) that is connected with management module, when the
terminal is connected through serial port.
Note: When using CLI console via serial connection, widen the window in
advance to enter a command within a single line. If a command extends
to multiple lines, the command may not be displayed correctly.
3 When you have successfully logged in, the login prompt window is
.
displayed.
Login:
Tip: If a login banner is set up, a message is displayed before the login
prompt.
4 The following user account and password of the system administrator are
.
set to the factory default settings. Enter the following values in the table.

Password
Tip: We strongly recommend that the password of the system
administrator changed for security. For details about power saving

5 Enter the user account in the login prompt to connect the management

module, and then press Enter.
Login:administrator
6 Enter the password, and then press Enter.

Login: administrator
Password: password
Note: If password expiration dates are set to be managed, you might not
be able to log in if the password expires. To be able to log in again and
update the password, see the Hitachi Compute Blade 500 Series
Management Module Setup Guide.
Note that you need the account privilege to update the password.
