The V7111 gateways are very compact devices that can be installed as a desk-top unit, on
the wall or in a 19-inch rack.
The V7111 gateways support SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) protocol, enabling the
deployment of voice over IP solutions in environments where each enterprise or residential
location is provided with a simple media gateway.
This provides the enterprise with a telephone connection (for example, RJ-11), and the
capability to transmit the voice and telephony signals over a packet network.
The layout diagram (Figure 1), illustrates a typical V7111 VoIP application.
