Regolazione tensione
catena
Spostare il motociclo fino alla
posizione in cui la catena risulta più
tesa.
Appoggiare il motociclo sul cavalletto
laterale e verificare, in corrispondenza
del punto più avanzato del paracatena
laterale, la distanza tra il forcellone e
la mezzeria delle maglie del ramo
inferiore della catena. Il valore deve
essere compreso tra 38 e 42 mm,
come riportato sulla targhetta
applicata sul forcellone.
Se ciò non risulta procedere come
segue:

allentare i dadi (1) che fissano il
paracatena (2) alla staffa di supporto
in modo da poter allentare
liberamente le viti (3) che serrano il
mozzo posteriore al forcellone.

Applicare una prolunga alla chiave in
dotazione e inserire il dentino di
quest'ultima nel mozzo eccentrico.
Ruotare il mozzo eccentrico fino ad
ottenere la giusta tensione della
catena. Ruotando in senso orario si
tende la catena; in senso antiorario si
allenta la catena. (Vista lato catena).
mantenere sempre l'asse della ruota
(R) al di sotto dell'asse eccentrico (E).
Lubrificare con grasso prescritto
sottotesta e filetto, quindi serrare le
viti (3) alla coppia di serraggio
prescritta (Sez. C 3) procedendo con
sequenza 1-2-1.

bloccaggio del mozzo eccentrico è
fondamentale per la sicurezza del
R
pilota e del passeggero.

Il corretto serraggio delle viti di
Chain adjustment
Wheel the motorcycle back and forth
until finding the position at which the
chain is tightest.
Put the motorcycle on the side stand
and measure the distance between
swingarm and the midline of the links
in the lower portion of the chain.
Measure at the forward end of the
side chain guard. Correct distance is
between 38 and 42 mm, as specified
in the plate affixed to the swingarm.
If distance is outside the specified
range, rectify as follows:
Slacken the nuts (1) securing the
chain guard (2) to the mounting
bracket to release the screws (3)
securing the rear wheel hub to the
swingarm and slacken the screws.
Apply an extension to the wrench
supplied with the tool kit and insert
the wrench pin into the eccentric hub.
Rotate the eccentric hub until
obtaining the correct chain tension.
Rotate clockwise (when motorcycle
is viewed from chain side) to stretch
the chain, counterclockwise to add
some slack.
Caution
Make sure wheel axis (R)
remains below eccentric hub axis (E)
during the whole process.
Smear under head and thread of the
screws (3) with the specified grease
and then tighten to the specified
torque (Sect. C 3) in a cross sequence
1-2-1.
Warning
Correct tightening of the
eccentric hub screws is critical to
rider and passenger safety.
