Note
For converters integrated with both the repair switch and the 24 V PSU, the 24 V DC power supply
to the converter is maintained when you switch off the 400 V AC supply via the repair switch.
The location of the repair switch on the wall-mounted converter is shown in the figure below.
Function description
When the repair switch is set to OFF, the mains power to the converter is terminated. The
converter pulses are disabled and the motor cannot be started or react in anyway to commands
from the converter or the controlling PLC. In this case, F07802 will be generated with ON
command.
With parameter r8559.12, you can read the feedback signal of the repair switch:
• r8559.12 = 1, repair switch is switched to OFF
• r8559.12 = 0, repair switch is switched to ON (mains on or no repair switch installed)
The repair switch can be padlocked into position so that once it has been switched off, it
cannot be accidentally switched on.
The motor can be repaired or replaced as required. Once the repair has been completed
the repair switch can be unlocked and switched on - the motor is then directly under the
command of the converter or the controlling PLC.
It should be noted that although the motor is isolated, communications and commands can
be passed between the controlling PLC and the converter, for example, parameters can be
changed.

Local/Remote control panel

Overview
The G115D wall-mounted converter is optionally available with an integrated Local/Remote
control (LRC) panel. The LRC panel has been designed to enable the user to take control of the
converter and motor from the automated system. In the local control mode, the user can
precisely control the movement of the motor, for example, starting, stopping and inching the
motor when fitting a new belt to a conveyor section.
