Junos OS for ACX Universal Access Routers supports defect and event management
capabilities for timing features. Defects and events are notified in the form of SNMP traps
and these SNMP traps are logged into the system log-file (var/log/snmpd). For each of
the SNMP traps (timing defects and timing events) that are generated, a message is
logged in the clksyncd file (var/log/clksyncd).
Table 34 on page 301
shows the list of SNMP trap notifications for timing defects and
events supported in ACX Universal Access Routers.

Description
Denotes loss of signal
Denotes exceeded frequency deviation
Denotes loss of Ethernet Synchronization Message Channel
(ESMC)
Denotes failure in quality level
Denotes loss of timing information
Denotes the failure of primary source
Denotes the failure of secondary source
When acting as master, this SNMP trap denotes failure or
rejects clients for signaling messages. When acting as a slave,
this SNMP trap denotes failure or client stops receiving
signaling messages

Denotes the recovery of secondary source
Denotes a change in primary reference such as a change in
logical interface or a change from SyncE to BITS/external
interface)
Denotes a change in secondary reference such as a change
