5.3.8.2 Rear ball distance and (X1 - X2) adjustment
Technical manual
11. Press the sub menu button again to return to the main calibration screen.
The calibration window resets.
12. Perform the ball phantom test again.
NOTE
The following procedure is valid only for 2D X-ray units with S3 arm model
and Dimax4 sensor.
After successfully adjusting the patient positioning mechanism and
performing the ball phantom test, it is occasionally possible that the rear ball
distance fails.
If the rear ball distance is not within a tolerance of 1.6 mm, move the
panoramic beam until the rear ball distance improves. Perform the
panoramic beam adjustment in the Collimator Calibration menu.
When you move the panoramic beam to the left on the screen display, the
rear ball moves right in 0.17 mm increments.
After moving the beam, perform the ball phantom test again.
Once the test passes, perform the Beam Check again and ensure that the
test passes. For more information, see the Device Tool manual.
NOTE
If you adjusted the beam position, move the sensor connector the same
distance and direction. For more information, see section "3D calibrations"
on page 124.
