Chapter A: GENERAL & TECHNICAL DATA 1 INTENDED USE The Planmeca ProOne X-ray unit produces digital X-ray images for the diagnosis of dentomaxillofacial anatomy. The X-ray unit may be used by health care professionals only. 2 SOFTWARE VERSION The software version of the X-ray unit determines what settings and functions are available on the X-ray unit.
The X-ray unit must be connected to a dedicated, protectively grounded power line (no other devices are connected to the same power line). If the X-ray unit is not connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), switch the X-ray unit off during lightning storms. Planmeca ProOne Technical manual...

The mains cable is a special part which should always be replaced with a new one ordered from PLANMECA. The mains cable must always be fitted by a qualified authorized service technician who has been trained by PLANMECA. To ensure the safety and image quality of the X-ray unit, periodical maintenance as described in this manual must be performed on a regular basis.
