5.3.2.2 Adjusting collimator angle (120 kV tube head)

2. Adjust the collimator angle.
2.a.
Open the primary collimator mechanism by rotating the primary
collimator screws located behind the blades so that you can see
the two attachment screws (1).
2.b.
Loosen the screws and rotate the mechanism (2) until the spirit
level is in correct position (3).
2.c.
Tighten the screws and check the beam. Repeat the procedure
described above until the beam is correctly positioned.
NOTE
The panoramic beam position is checked in the SmartPan mode X-
collimator calibration mode. Do not exit this mode when adjusting the
mechanism angle. Drive the horizontal blades to the reference position
by touching the Test field on the Pan mode X-collimator calibration
display and exit this mode by touching Cancel field. Drive the vertical
blades to the reference position in the SmartPan mode Y-collimator
calibration mode by touching the Test field in SmartPan mode Y-
collimator calibration display.
NOTE
The following instructions apply only for X-ray units equipped with optional
120 kV tube head.
1. Enter the calibration mode:

Touch the service spanner on the Main display.
