4. Ensure that the float engagement pin is installed in storage
position (B) and NOT in engaged position (A).
IMPORTANT:
Removing the float will release the tension in the float
springs. This will prevent damage to the header lift linkages
when lowering the legs without a header or weight box
attached to the windrower.
DANGER
Ensure that all bystanders have cleared the area.
5. Start the engine and activate HEADER DOWN button (A) on
the ground speed lever (GSL) to fully retract the header lift
cylinders.
6. Remove pin (A) from the frame linkage and raise center-
link (B) until the hook is above the attachment pin on the
header. Replace pin (A) to hold the center-link in place.
IMPORTANT:
If the center-link is too low, it may contact the header as
the windrower approaches the header for hookup.
7. Ensure that the lift linkages are properly engaged in the
header legs and are contacting the support plates.
