This equipment version is intended for operation over all communication
paths (4-wire connection), preferably over PLC links. It offers a high level of
security against impulse interference and disturbance voltages.
In this equipment version, the desired frequencies are distributed over the
complete available frequency space. With PLC, transmission frequency
space in the 2.5-kHz or 4-kHz channel arrangement is required for each
operating direction.
With Carrier Frequency (CF), radio relay routes, and cable connections, an
ITU-T voice band from 0.3 kHz to 3.4 kHz is used for each operating direc-
tion.
The following diagram shows a 4-wire connection over a VF cable. Broad-
band variants VF1, VF1_M5A, VF3_M5A, VF1_CT, and VF3_CT can be used.
