5.3 PowerSys Online Connection
If there is a match or mismatch between the FW releases of the device and the service program PowerSys, the
following Target coloring appears:
Coloring Comment
Green The FW release of the device (Actual) corresponds with the FW release of the connected service
program PowerSys (Target).
Yellow The FW release of the device (Actual) or one of its firmware components does not correspond
with the FW release of the service program PowerSys (Target).
That is, the FW release of the device (Actual) has a newer version than the Target of the service
program PowerSys, e.g. a firmware hotfix is programmed to the device.
If an older, but compatible version is detected for one of the device firmware components, the
yellow target coloring applies as well.
Verify the PowerSys current and new release and upgrade the device firmware to the matching
version.
Red The FW release of the device (Actual) is incompatible with the FW release of the service program
PowerSys (Target).
That is, the FW release of the device has an older or newer version, which is not supported by the
connected service program PowerSys.
Verify the PowerSys current and new release:
- Connect with an updated PowerSys program, if the displayed Target version of PowerSys is
lower than the Actual firmware of the device.
- Connect with an older program version of PowerSys, if the displayed Target version is higher
than the Actual firmware of the device or upgrade the device firmware to the matching version of
the PowerSys.
