Taper Calculations
Overview
Layout
the shortcut of an entry key whereas the focus must not be on the display field.
After the first entry, the display field is provided with the edit protection (gray
background).
The entry must be completed as described under the classical operating mode.
In order to achieve the text entry design in the hybrid mode, the focus must be
set into the display box. The first modification of the text by editing changes the
calculator's design. Afterwards, all entry keys will be disabled.
The entry must be completed as described under the text output operating
mode.
Click on the result key ("="). You can also use the <Return> key , the <Enter>
key or the shortcut <=>.
By means of the memory, numbers from the display can be buffered in all op‐
erating modes and called for further use.
The content of the memory is neither influenced by closing the "Calculations
and Tables" dialog nor by a reset.
Whether the memory is currently containing a number can be recognized from
an "M" in the status display.
You can work with the memory as follows:

In order to save a displayed number click on "MS".
●
In order to call a saved number back into the display, click on "MR".
●
The memory is deleted using "MR".
●
In order to add a displayed number to the number in the memory, click on
"M+". Using "MR", the achieved sum can be displayed.
Tasks
Taper calculations are often necessary in turning.
The following tasks can be solved using this calculation form:
●
Conversion between the taper relation and the setting angle (half taper
angle) in both directions and
●
Calculation of the diameters at the taper ends with given taper relation/
setting angle.
The form for taper calculations is located on the tab labeled with "Taper".
The form provides editable text boxes for the numerical values. Behind the text
boxes that are in the fore and can be considered for a value transfer, buttons
for copying purposes are located.
