With the power monitor, the power consumption (active power) of a machine
as well as of individual function modules (electric drives and auxiliary equipment
(hydraulic pumps, cooling lubricant system, etc.) are observed and monitored.
The power monitor is part of the MTX interface.
The power monitor shows
the total power of the machine can either be shown as temporally change‐
able bar chart or as temporal characteristic curve
the power of the individual drives as well as
the power of the individual auxiliary equipments.
The power monitor consists of the following sections:
Window segment of the NC main screen and
F-keypads
The power monitor gets the data to be displayed via the PLC function block
"MT_4EEGuiMonitor". To do so, the respective function block has to be inte‐
grated into the PLC program and wired (also refer to the PLC Programming
Manual).
Furthermore, the power monitor has to be configured in the basic default
screen. Therefore, the power monitor is to be first called in the basic default
screen via the second F-key level after selecting the program display window
with <F7> and <F3>. Then, the configuration menu is shown with <F8> and
subsequently, the individual pages of the configuration menu are to be edited
as described in the following subchapters.
