Apply value from control
Working with the Intellisense func‐
2. Main Level
This chapter only describes functions that have not already been described
under the Variable Lists section.
The current variable value is read from the control and entered under "Value"
in the list for the selected line of the list.
Benefits of the Intellisense Control
To add the new CPL variables/system variables, use the Intellisense func‐
tion
tion . After any character has been entered, an Intellisense dialog appears
providing the option to select the variable type "@" or "SD". After selecting the
type, a list of all basis variables appears. It can be navigated within the Intelli‐
sense dialog with the keys <CursorUp><CursorDown>, <PageUp><Page‐
Down> or with the mouse. Confirm selections using <Enter> or by double-
clicking. If the selected variable is an array or a structure, a list of elements of
the next level is displayed after entering "point". If there is no further level, the
Intellisense dialog does not appear.
Special features:
When entering related arrays or structures, it is possible to enter only the first
part or parts of the name. The other elements of this variable or structure are
then automatically entered in the list.
Example:
Intellisense function
Array name:
SD.Sys_VAR; the Intellisense control displays SD.Sys_VAR[1,1,1] and the fol‐
lowing elements.
The entire array is entered by deleting the indices (new name: SD.Sys_VAR)
and completing the entry.
Name of structure:
SD.Sys_SearchRun[1] also indicates the Intellisense function.
Since this is the first part of the variables, it can be confirmed with <Enter>. All
associated elements are inserted.
Name of structure:
SD.Sys_SearchRun[1] also indicates the Intellisense function.
A further selection appears when a point is entered. An element is selected. If
<Enter> is pressed now, only the corresponding subset of the structure is in‐
serted.
If the help of the Intellisense function is not required, it can be hidden
via <Esc>.
Activating a List Using the Navigator
It is possible to use the navigator to quickly activate a variable list. Navigate to
a file with the extension "*.var" and press the F-key "Variable functions". The
required function can be called in the subsequent level.
It is differentiated between:
Activating complete list
The complete list is activated. When changing to the operating area "Ma‐
chine", this list is displayed by pressing the F-key "Active variables".
