M-keys can be configured in the following files in IW Engineering:
Right M-keypad:
HMI.MKeys.MTXToolList_R.Visu.xml
HMI.MKeys.MTXToolList_R.xml
Left M-keypad:
HMI.MKeys.MTXToolList_L.Visu.xml
HMI.MKeys.MTXToolList_L.xml
Fig.8-7:
M-key definitions in the tool editor
If no M-keypads were assigned to the tool list definition, "global" M-keys come
into effect.
Here, 'list content' is understood to be the selection of the indicated tool data
records.
The query definitions in the "ToolManagementApp.xml" file specify which data
records are to be indicated in a tool list.
In the MTX, the F- or M-keys can be freely assigned up to 16 predefined list
indications in the F- or M-key configurator. Additional list indications are pos‐
sible, but are not provided in the configuration dialog. They need to be entered
manually in the configuration file of the respective F-keypads or M-keypads
(see definition "HMI.Fkeys.ToolmanApp1.xml" above).
The list structure is controlled by a tool list configuration file that is entered in
the "ULCConfigFile" data element of the respective action definition in the
"ToolManagementApp.xml"
"MTX.Toolman.ToolListConfiguration.xml" is always assigned to the tool lists.
By default, the tool lists have the following display methods:
Geometry list
Wear list
Tool life list
Status list
List of worn tools displayed as a endurance list.
As opposed to all other lists that display all the tools of the selected sectors,
this list contains a special query definition for selecting the worn tools.
It is possible to highlight tool data records in the tool list depending on a process
variable. As many displays as desired can be implemented
Example:
Highlighted Display
1. BQ2 - bit 0 (Tool active) background color 1
2. BQ2 - bit 4 (Tool worn) background color 2
