Calculating in the classic design
If the calculator is in an error condition, the latter can be deleted using the
<C> key. <C> can also be used for deleting the display box. The <Del> shortcut
that can alternatively be used in the mode will in the text entry operating mode
only take effect if the entry focus is not on the display box. Otherwise, <Del>
will only delete one character or selected text.
Before the calculation, the expression can be modified arbitrarily and in an un‐
limited manner by means of editing using the keyboard. For the deletion, the
<backspace> and the <Del> key are available.
Layout in the Hybrid Operating Mode
In the hybrid operating mode, the calculator sometimes looks like in the clas‐
sical mode and sometimes like in the text mode. In the classical form, the
display field cannot be edited and all keys are enabled. In the text mode form,
the display field can be edited and all keys for the entry are disabled. After reset
("C" key) and the calculation ("=" key), the calculator is in an interim condition
in which all keys are enabled and the display field can be edited.

Which of the two forms - classical or text entry - will finally be active in the entry
is only decided by the following entry. The form determined in this connection
is maintained until the result is shown or a reset is performed.
Performing a Calculation
In order to use the classic design, i.e. operation by means of keys in the hybrid
mode, click on an entry key (numbers, functions, brackets). Alternatively, press
