Select the list name and press <F6 Edit>

Select the list name and use the context menu to select the menu
item "Edit"

Select the list name and press <Enter>.
The selected variable list is opened in the variable editor.
Any existing variable list can be directly opened from an already started variable
editor.
1.
Press <F8> to switch to the 2nd main level and press <F2 File...> to switch
to the file functions.
2.
Press <F3 Open....>.
A dialog opens to select the desired variable list.

Confirm the selection with "OK".
Another variable list editor with the selected variable list opens.
Creating a New Variable List
1.
Select the directory in which the new variable list is to be created in the
MTX Navigator using the mouse or the <Cursor> keys.
2.
Press <F2 New> and then <F6 Variable list> in the sublevel of the F-key‐
pad.
Select New, Variable list in the context menu.
A dialog to create a new variable list opens.

Press <F8> to switch to the 2nd main level and press <F2 File...> to switch
to the file functions.
2.
Press <F2 New...>.
3.
Enter the name of the variable list.
By default, an automatically generated list name is shown "VAR_ <Da‐
teStamp>" (year/month/day_hour/minute_second).
4.
Close the dialog with "Ok".
A variable list is created and opened in the variable list editor.
Describing Functions
1st Main Level
This chapter only describes functions that have not already been described
under the Variable Lists section.
The current list is closed and the complete list becomes the active variable list.

After confirming a prompt, the values of the opened list are transferred to the
control.
In case of error, a list with the occurring errors appears.
If no error occurs, a respective note appears in the status line.
Data that has not been saved is saved after the "Save" prompt. If a newly edited
file is closed and the "Save" prompt is confirmed, it opens the Save Asdialog.
Navigate to the desired storage location.
