Bus interface card (NT6X54AA)
The BIC card is at the front of the line drawer, behind the front faceplate. The
BIC card connects to the two LSGs (64 line cards) in the drawer where it is
installed. In addition to connecting its two 32-channel LSGs to line drawers,
the BIC performs the following functions:
Line circuit cards
scans line circuits for presence of a hook switch change or message
(interpretation of dialed digits)
sends signals through a ringing multiplexer to control the relays in the
power converter to select ringing and ANI/coin voltages
monitors line drawer activity for maintenance
