Star Module response and general recovery methods
If only one DS-1 is provided, the Star Module will drop. Otherwise, all the
calls will be routed to the second link (up to 23, one channel is used for
messaging).
Calls on the affected link will drop.
Calls on the affected line card will drop
Because of a failure in the following voltage
+15 V power supply failure results in no support for POTS line cards.
The Critical alarm is set.
Coin failure means that only coin features are not supported. The
Major alarm is set.
Ringer failure means the ringing features are not supported. The
Major alarm is set.
In each case, a message is sent to the host switch.
