The surface coating layer on the development roller was made thinner in this
modification to gain higher tolerance against developer deterioration.
Modification purpose
To lower the risk of generating the following two types of 50mm pitch banding in
particular: De-color banding and Double white banding
1. De-color banding (haze-like)
Haze-like de-colored areas are observed around the center of the page at 50mm
intervals.

2. Double white banding
Bands in pairs appear at 50mm intervals. Unlike the de-color banding, this symptom
tends to occur at the edge of the pages.

The above two symptoms could be observed together on the same page, and tend
to become more noticeable over time due to the deterioration of the developer.
