Target generator mode in semi-automatic mode (SAM) (P109)
● Selection 1:
You can disable travel towards the water in SAM mode; see parameter description in
Chapter General (Page 408).
– Selection 1 = ON: Targets on the waterside are not approached.
– Selection 1 = OFF: Targets on the waterside and the landside are approached.
● Selection 2:
By making the appropriate selection, you determine whether or not a lane must be specified.
– Selection 2 = ON: A valid lane must be specified.
– Selection 2 = OFF: A valid lane does not need to be specified.
If you specify a valid lane, it will be approached.
If you do not specify a valid lane, a target from the target generator will be approached.
If you do not specify a valid lane and the target generator does not supply a valid position,
the crane will not travel at all.
Note
No special error message is output if parameter P109 is set such that travel in SAM mode
is prevented.
The START_AUTO_OK status bit is not set.
The status bit "Starting position is same as target position" (in INFO_NO_AUTO_START
status word) is set.

Commissioning semi-automatic (SAM) mode

Note
A prerequisite for commissioning semi-automatic mode (SAM) is successful commissioning of
the manual (MAN) and positioning (POS) modes.
The PLC program must be prepared so that external variable obstacles can be transferred and/
or the learning of the height profile is activated (see Chapter Communication interface to
SIMATIC S7 (Page 83)).
All blocked regions must be correctly formed (see Chapter Blocked regions (Page 170)).
Make sure that all blocked regions are correctly transferred before travel is initiated in SAM
mode.
All blocked regions (fixed and variable) are displayed in the diagnostic program, Diagram
function in the x/y representation.
If a bay scanner is to be used, the scanner must be fully functional (see Chapter Using a bay
scanner (Page 204)).
