6.10 Blocked regions
If the measured values of the bay scanner are not used, the height profile during loading and
unloading at the beginning of the learning process will not correspond to the real container
stack, but does come closer to it with each loading and unloading operation.
Double spreader
The sway control system can also be used on cranes with a double spreader in single mode and
in tandem mode. The following must be observed:

The reflector must be attached to the headblock of the landside spreader.
Single operation
Note
In single mode, the waterside spreader must be pulled up to the upper limit switch. Otherwise,
the "Sway Control" AddOn technology must be deactivated. This must be implemented in the
crane control system.
No additional signals are required and there are no changes in the behavior compared to
operation with a single spreader.
Tandem mode
In "tandem mode," the current position of the trolley must refer to the center of the landside
spreader.
During learning and avoiding obstacles, the current total width of the double spreader is taken
into account. The width of the blocked regions is increased in the landside direction.
The operation of coupled double spreaders is activated by setting the
SPREADERS_COUPLED control bit (bit 12).
The current total width "DS_WIDTH" of the double spreader is required as an input value. This
value is displayed on the "PLC Interface 1 [2]" display screen in the SIMOCRANE CeCOMM
diagnostic program.
DS_WIDTH
In double-spreader operation, this value informs the sway control how wide the two containers
are, including the spacing of the cylinders. The current total width is expected, from the outside
edge of the container on the first spreader to the outside edge of the container on the second
