5.5 PROFINET configuration

Depending on the version (Page 18), select the file "SwayControl_SimoD_GSU_PN.xml" or
"SwayControl_SimoD_STS_PN.xml" on the DVD for import. After clicking "OK" to confirm,
enter an arbitrary project name in the following window and select a target folder for the project.
Note
The application project is stored on the DVD in the form of a zip file. The zip file must first be
extracted with the WinZip application outside the project. Data which can be imported with
SCOUT will then be made available. The project created by this method can also be opened
with the SIMATIC Manager to access the application blocks.

Configuring the connection

Changes must be made in the hardware configuration of the SIMOTION and the S7 in order to
configure the connection.
SIMOTION hardware configuration
The MV440 camera can communicate with the SIMOTION D via PROFINET or via UDP. You
will need a CBE30-2 module if communication is to take place via PROFINET. Open the
hardware configuration of the SIMOTION module, click CBE30-2 with the right mouse button
and select "Insert PROFINET IO system". Then you can copy the MV440 from the supplied
application project into your user project. Enter the address 192.168.0.2 in the "IP address"
window that opens during the copy operation.
Neither the steps described above nor the CBE30-2 module are necessary if you choose to use
UDP.
