Internally learned variable blocked regions

During initialization, a blocked region is created that reaches from the start of the waterside
(P26) up to the maximum position (P28) and that covers the complete hoisting range (P63 to
69) that can be approached in semi-automatic mode. No travel is therefore possible on the
waterside in this situation in semi-automatic mode (SAM). A learning travel must first be
performed in manual mode (MAN). The velocity of the learning travel depends on whether
blocked regions are to be taken into account in manual mode.
Initialization
The following sequence must be followed:
● First delete all internally learned variable blocked regions by setting the
LEARN_PROFILE_RESET bit (bit 9). This also deletes those target positions that have
been created by the state change of the twistlock bits.
The LEARN_PROFILE_RESET_OK status bit signals successful execution to the PLC. The
LEARN_PROFILE_RESET control bit (bit 9) must be reset after the deletion process.
Note
If the "LEARN_PROFILE_RESET" bit is set, the internal variable blocked regions are no
longer present. The GSU configuration (P102=0) is then used to approach the target
position on the waterside. The STS configuration (P102=1) is used to set the target position
for the hoist on the waterside using the initialization value for the immersion point. This mode
should occur only during the initialization (refer to the bit description in Common (Page 83)).
● Initialization of the internally learned variable blocked regions after resetting the
LEARN_PROFILE_RESET bit by setting the LEARN_PROFILE_ON bit (bit 8). This creates
the described blocked region.
Note
After a restart of the system, the internally learned variable blocked regions are also
initialized.
Starting the learning process
When the internally learned variable blocked regions have been initialized (see above), the
learning process can commence. For this purpose, the LEARN_PROFILE_RESET control bit
must be reset and the LEARN_PROFILE_ON control bit must remain set. The way in which
blocked regions are formed depends on whether or not a bay scanner is used (see
Chapter Using a bay scanner (Page 204)).
If the SLACKROPE control bit is set, the hoisting height profile will not be learned.
Learning situations
Should situations occur that cause doubt concerning the validity of the current height profile,
travel in semi-automatic mode (SAM) can no longer continue with this height profile. The
internally learned variable blocked regions must be reinitialized and a new learning travel
performed.
