Commissioning AddOn Software

9.1

Requirements

Commissioning of the drive system and all safety functions of the crane must be performed,
especially limit trips, safety interlocks, EMERGENCY STOP functions and centrifugal switch,
and these must be functional.
If tests are conducted under load, the load measuring equipment must also function perfectly.
Ensure that the following requirements for commissioning of the AddOn software are fulfilled:
● All components of the system must be installed, connected, functional, and interconnected.
● The SIMOTION SCOUT user project must be fully configured (see Chapter Configuration
(Page 109)).
● Installation and start of the SIMOCRANE CeCOMM diagnostic program (see
Chapter Installing (Page 263)) on the commissioning PC.
● Setting of the IP address of the commissioning PC in accordance with the SIMOTION (same
subnet).
● When a camera is used, the camera measuring system must be put into operation. For
information, see the operating instructions for the SIMOCRANE CenSOR camera
measuring system [Ref. 1].
● If a bay scanner is used, it must be put into operation (see Chapter Using a bay scanner
(Page 204)).
● Setting of user name and password for the SIMOTION D4x5-2 DP/PN (see Chapter Setting
up FTP file access (Page 325))
9.2

Communication of the camera measuring system via Ethernet

The connection between the following components is implemented with Ethernet using the
TCP/IP network protocol:
● Camera measuring system and AddOn technology in the SIMOTION (1) (STS only)
● AddOn function in the SIMOTION and in the SIMOCRANE CeCOMM diagnostic program (2)
