3. To read data directly from the FIFO hardware in an HP VEE
program, select an HP VEE direct I/O panel for the
HP E1313/E1413. In this panel select:
READ REGISTER FIFO
ACCESS MODE
ARRAY 1D SIZE
This sets HP VEE up to read the register that in step 2 we named
" FIFO" and store the results in variable X.
The Access Mode " Increment off" means that a single location will
be read over and over again until the number of readings specified by
SIZE is fulfilled. Note that size may be any number up to the
maximum size of the HP E1313/E1413 FIFO, which is 65024. An
error occurs if you try and enter more readings than are available.
Thus, before reading the FIFO using this method, first find out the
number of readings that are available.
