Diagnostics channels

The diagnostics standardized for PROFIBUS and PROFINET can also be used when
operating a SINAMICS drive. This allows the alarms and faults of the SINAMICS drive to be
integrated into the system diagnostics of a higher-level controller and automatically displayed
on an HMI. This function is certified for PROFIdrive on PROFINET and PROFIdrive on
PROFIBUS.
The information transferred is stored for the drive objects in r0945[8] for faults, in r2122[8] for
alarms and in r9747[8] for safety messages. The messages entered here are combined into
the PROFIdrive error classes for the diagnostics. The assignment of the messages to the
error classes can be found in the List Manual (see SINAMICS S120/S150 List Manual;
Section 3.1.2 Explanations on the list of faults and alarms).
The error source is located by transferring the DRIVE-CLiQ component number as channel
number.
The diagnostics are activated via the appropriate parameterization in the configuration tool
being used, e.g. using HW Config or TIA Portal.
The functional scope of the diagnostics channels depends on the transferring bus system.
