The oil tank contains a sufficient amount of oil if the
oil level is between the upper and lower level marks
on the dipstick.
If the oil level is near or below the lower level mark,
remove the oil filler cap and add the recommended
engine oil up to the upper level mark.
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OIL:
Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke oil or equivalent motor
oil
API service classification: SG or higher
JASO T 903 standard: MA
Viscosity: SAE 10W-30
Other viscosities shown in the chart may be used
when the average temperature in your riding area is
within the indicated range.
Reinstall the oil filler cap and dipstick.
Oil level check when engine is running
· The oil pump adjusts the oil level so that the oil
tank is always kept at the proper level. If this
check shows otherwise, some portion of the
lubrication system is not working properly.
· Do not check the oil level immediately after the
engine has been operated at high speeds. Make
sure that vehicle is on firm level ground while
idling. Allow the engine to idle for few minutes to
stabilize the oil levels.
The oil level is correct if the oil is above the stepped
end line of the dipstick.
