Be careful not to
interfere the front
crankcase with the
transmission unit.
Do not pry the
crankcase apart
with a screwdriver.

Loosen the five rear crankcase bolts in a crisscross
pattern in several steps and remove them.
Loosen the twelve front crankcase bolts in a criss-
cross pattern in several steps and remove them.
Place the crankcase assembly with the rear crank-
case down.
The dowel pin hole in the automatic transmission
unit face to the left.
Remove the front crankcase from the rear crankcase
while tapping them at several locations with a soft
automatic
hammer.
Remove the following:
front crankshaft bearing inner race
two dowel pins
two O-rings.
