Replace the clutch
weights as a set.

CRANKSHAFT
Check the clutch drum sliding surface of the crank-
shaft for scratches or abnormal wear.
Measure the crankshaft O.D.
SERVICE LIMIT: 28.93 mm (1.139 in)
DRIVE PLATE ASSEMBLY
Measure the clutch lining thickness of the weight.
SERVICE LIMIT: 2.0 mm (0.08 in)
Check the sprag clutch contacting surface of the
drive plate boss for abnormal wear or damage.
Compress the clutch cone spring and remove the E-
clips.
Remove the outer plate, cone spring and inner
plate.
Measure the height of the clutch cone spring.
SERVICE LIMIT: 3.6 mm (0.14 in)
