BRAKE PEDAL

Apply molybdenum disulfide grease to the wheel
hub dust seal and axle splines.
Install wheel hub onto the rear axle.
Install the hub nut and tighten it to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 137 N·m (14.0 kgf·m, 101 lbf·ft)
Further tighten the hub nut until its grooves align
with the cotter pin hole in the axle shaft.
Install a new cotter pin and secure the hub nut.
Install the rear wheel (page 15-6).
Adjust the rear brake lever and pedal free play
(page 3-22).
REMOVAL
Remove the brake cables from the brake arm
16-21).
Remove the bolt and brake light switch guard.
Unhook the brake light switch spring and remove
the brake light switch.
