Possible Cause
Optical head may be heavily
contaminated (fingerprints
dust).
User zones have not
programmed and the
scanner is still operating with the
default " maximum zones "
settings from the factory.
An object is permanently
detected. The installation
environment may have changed
(the detected object could be the
floor).
Possible Cause
Power on self-check sequence,
not completed.
Optical head may be heavily
contaminated (fingerprints
dust).
External test target error (test
beam has been broken, sensor
has moved, target has moved).
The diagnostic LED will flicker
with 3 extinction sequence.
Unsuccessful programming (if the
last attempt to program the
sensor failed or if it was not
confirmed by the user,
FFSE.EXE will lock itself with
maximum zones (alarm
safety). The diagnostic LED will
flicker with 7 extinction sequence
Sensor fault.
If the RS232 cable is
connected to the sensor,
electrical noise interference may
be present.
Corrective Action
Remove power from the sensor and clean
or the optical head (see section 6.4 "Advice on
maintenance").
