Preparing Cable for 'krmination
Note If using factory crimped contacts, skip to "Terminating Contacts to Connectors
and Faceplates" below.
1. Slip 9.5 cm (3 3/4 ") shrink tubing # 0890-0273 over jacket.
2. Strip outer jacket 3.2 cm (1 114 "). Be careful not to damage the outer shield.
3. Fold back the outer shield and drain wire.
4. Strip the inner jacket 3.2 cm (1 l/4 "). Be careful not to damage the inner shield.
5. Fold back inner shield and drain wire.
6. Remove filler strips, if present.
7. Twist together the two drain wires.
8. Solder two leads to twisted drain wires. Use wire from excess cable or other 20 AWG leads.
