Both displays are powered directly from the local main power source, via a 3-pin IEC power
inlet plug, and will work for a voltage range of 90 Vat to 264 Vat The voltage is detected and
selected automatically by the display without the need for a voltage selector.

When the display is used as a master the 60V output presented at a 1Bpin D-type socket is
used to power the DC/DC converter in the Computer Module.
The input signals, horizontal sync, vertical sync and video, are connected to the g-pin D-type
plug (video in), on the rear of the display. A second connector, D-type socket (video out),
is present to allow another display to be daisy-chained. An impedance selector switch
(push-button on M1092A and M1094A, and two-pole on M1094B) allows you to switch from 750
to 1 khl for use as the last or intermediate display respectively.
There is a HP-HIL connector on the rear of the display which provides the connection to the
Utility CPU in the Computer Module. There is another HP-HIL connector on the bezel of the
display to allow the keyboard to be connected.
The Switch-Mode Power Supply (M1092A/M1094A)
The display has an internal switch-mode power supply (SMPS) for producing all the voltages for
the display module.
The SMPS is
Connected
to the line voltage via a line filter, located externally on the back of the
color display, or internally in the SMPS case on the monochrome display.
The SMPS supplies all the power for the operation of all the local equipment, the integral and
remote racks, including the plug-in recorder modules.

The SMPS provides different voltage levels for various components of the system as follows:
Line voltage is routed via the SMPS to another SMPS on the deflection board of the color
display.
A 28V supply is provided for the deflection board of the monochrome display.
Supplies the de-gausing coils for the display screen.
Supplies the power-on LED.
