Configuring Printers
This section shows you how to configure the following printers for use with the HP Component
Central Monitor:

HP QuietJet (HP 2228A)
w HP DeskJet, DeskJet + ,' DeskJet 500, DeskJet 500C (use black cartridge only)

HP LaserJet IIP, III, IIIP, IV

All printer configuration settings specified in this document are correct for use with the Roman
8 character set and 8.5" X 11" paper. If the country in which you are installing your system
has different requirements, consult the documentation which ships with your printer for the
correct local settings.

The switches used to set the configuration on the HP QuietJet printer are arranged in two
banks of eight. Refer to Table 7-2 for direct connection settings and 'Ibble 7-3 for spooler
connection settings.
