To Connect the Keyboard Switch
1. Attach the keyboard switch by sliding its hooked edge over the lip at the rear of the
keyboard.
2. Connect the one-dot end of the HP-HIL cable to the one-dot connector at the rear of the
keyboard.
3. Connect the two-dot end of HP-HIL cable to the two-dot connector on keyboard switch.
4. For each HP Component Central Monitor (maximum of four), perform the following steps:
a. Connect one-dot end of HP-HIL cable to one-dot connector on keyboard switch.
b. Connect two-dot end of HP-HIL cable to two-dot connector on front of display module.
An example of the HP-HIL connection to the HP Component Central Monitor is shown in
Figure 7-8.
