Troubleshooting the Arrhythmia System
Arrhythmia Error Codes - Device ID 20004 (decimal) or 4324 (HEX)
All arrhythmia error codes are generated by the software loaded on the Arrhythmia CPC in
Slot 8, and are reported in the Status Log with Device ID 20004 (decimal) or 4324 (HEX).
'Iable 9-3 contains a list of these error codes, separated into three levels of severity:
LOW
LOW severity codes provide information about the operation of the arrhythmia system, and
should not be considered as errors. No action is required unless:

Error codes occur continuously
n
Errors codes occur while a user is experiencing a problem with the HP Component Central
Monitor

If either of these exceptions occur, perform all steps, as necessary, listed in
Responding to
SoBware Errors and report the error condition as noted in

MEDIUM
MEDIUM severity codes indicate the occurrence of an unexpected condition, but not
necessarily a problem with your arrhythmia system. No action is required unless:

Error codes occur continuously
n
Error codes occur while a user is experiencing a problem with the HP Component Central
Monitor
n
Error codes occur after a system or user-initiated reboot. The arrhythmia system performs
software integrity checks, and if the system detects an error, it performs a warm start. As
a result of a warm start, all alarm histories are lost. In addition, configurable arrhythmia
information may or may not be lost.
If any of these exceptions occur, perform all steps, as necessary, listed in
Responding to
Software Errors
and report the error condition as noted in
Reporting Arrhythmia Error
codes.
HIGH
HIGH severity codes indicate a-fatal error which causes the HP Component Central Monitor
to reboot and perform a hot start. Patient settings are lost, but General Configuration
settings are recovered.
If a HIGH error code occurs, perform all steps, as necessary, listed in
Responding to Software
Errors and report the error code as noted in
Reporting Arrhythmia Error Codes.
