Log
The Computer Module in the HP Component Central Monitor produces error code information
to indicate the presence of faults in the system. There are two possible situations in which
error code information will be produced:
1. A fault may occur which causes the system to restart, but on restarting the fault then clears.
Under these circumstances, error code information detailing the source of the fault could be
accessed during normal run-time by entering the
Status Log lhsk Window.
Error codes in
the Status Log are displayed as decimal numbers.
2. If a fault occurs which causes the system to continuously restart, a
start-up error message
may be displayed at the top of the display screen. In this case, the error codes are displayed
as hexadecimal numbers.
The Status Log provides information on the status of the various boards and components of the
Computer Module. Status Logs can be accessed in all four operating modes The status log can
be entered as follows:

Each entry in the status log describes the following:
H, W, C or F
(H, W, and C denote system fatal errors causing a hot, warm, or cold start
respectively. F denotes a card fatal error.)
Card Name
(e.g. RACK-IF)
Part Number
(e.g. M1088-66501.)
Device ID
(The number of a device, or the Module-Id of a software module,
on
the card.)
Slot Number
(Position of suspect card in the Computer Module.)
Error Code
(Number describing the error type.)
Date/Time
(Date and time that the error occurred.)
