To Install the Desktop Tilt/Swivel Mount
Figure 6-3 shows an exploded view of the locking tilt/swivel mounting kit to help you identify
individual components. Because the actual kit is shipped fully assembled, you will need to
remove and replace certain components to install the kit. The required steps are detailed in the
following procedure.
1, Using the HEX key provided, detach the adapter plate from the swivel ball by removing one
HEX screw (HP 05152328).
2. Attach the adapter plate to the bottom of the display using two HP 0515-1453 and two HP
0515-0169 screws.
3. Adjust the locking nut (HP 05350090) to ensure that the operation of the swivel ball (HP
M1264-80130) remains tight and has little play. This will help keep the display stationary
when display keys are depressed.
4. Attach the preassembled swivel ball/cup/spacer assembly to the surface:
a. Using the spacer measurements illustration (Figure 6-2) as a guide, drill two l/4 inch
diameter holes (for securing the assembly) and one l/2 inch diameter clearance hole for
tilt/swivel post.
b. Secure the tilt/swivel assembly to the surface using the two screws (HP 0515-1537),
two washers (HP 2190-0759) and two wing nuts (HP 0535-0148) included with your
installation kit.
5. Attach the display to the swivel ball:
a. Slide the adapter plate onto the front edge of swivel ball to
engage
the flanges.
b; Position the adapter plate left or right as necessary. When properly positioned, a small
locating pin on the swivel ball will fit into the cut-out groove on the adapter plate.
c. Position the adapter plate as far back as possible so that the flanges on the adapter plate
fit snugly against front edge of swivel ball.
d. Using the HEX driver, fasten the swivel ball to the adapter plate with the HEX screw (HP
0515-2328) removed in step 1.
