Installing the Components
To Connect Systems With Options AlO, A12, A44, A46, A48, A68, H76, and 876
Refer to Figure 7-7 and perform the steps below. Rw a description of these options, see the
Ordering Informationsection of Chapter 1.
1. Connect the molded keyboard cable to the HIL jack on the Utility CPU board at the rear
of the computer module unit. If you do not have the HIL cable molded to your keyboard,
connect the single-dot end of an HIL cable to the single-dot HIL jack of your keyboard, and
the double-dot end to the HIL jack on the Utility CPU.
2. Connect the double-dot end of an HIL cable to the other HIL jack on the keyboard. Connect
the single-dot end of the cable to the HIL jack on the rear of the active display.
3. Connect the double-dot end of an HIL cable to the HIL jack on the front of the active
display.
4. Connect the single-dot end of the HIL cable to the HIL jack on the rear of the passive
display.
5. Place the plastic jack cover into the HIL jack on the front of the passive display. This is to
make sure you do not insert an HIL cable into this jack by mistake.
