Troubleshooting the Recorder Module
The following table describes faults on the recorder module.
Symptom
Possible Cause
Action
System thinks that the Paper out sensor dirty Clean paper out sensor.
recorder is out of paper
when it is not.
System thinks that door is Defective door switch
open when it is not
Recorder not Poor connection to the
communicating with front-end rack
system
System not configured
properly
Too many modules
connected
Replace module.
Unplug the module and try it again in a
few seconds (Watch for the LED to
flash.)
Check the configuration of the
connected monitor
Check and remove the extra modules.
Recorder won't run Recorder interface not Unplug the module and try it again in a
working properly
few seconds. (Watch for the LED to
flash.)
Poor print quality Printhead failure
Replace the module.
(missing dots)
Paper not feeding Paper roll off center Center paper roll on bumps
properly
Dirty roller Clean roller
Module does not lock into Locking plates defective
Remove and replace the locking plates
