Installing the System
Installing the Components
1. Connect the 15pin Male connector of the 1.5m signal cable to the video connector on the
rear of the display.
2. Connect the other end of the signal cable to the 15-pin Female connector on the adapter
cable.
3. Attach the g-pin Male connector at the other end of the adapter cable to the faceplate near
the display. The faceplate should be terminated with a g-pin Female connection of cable
Ml 181A-#A2A (or A2C).
4. Attach the g-pin Female connector of cable M1181A-#A22 (or A21) to the faceplate nearest
the function box. The faceplate should be terminated with the g-pin Male connector of the
M1181A-#A2A or #A2C.
5. Connect the g-pin Male connector of cable M1181A-#A22 (or A21) to the function box.
6. Connect the AC power cord to the rear of the display.
7. Plug the power cord into the isolation transformer, or wall power outlet.
Warning When the D2800 Display is used in the patient area or driven by video
from a function box in the patient area, power must be supplied by one of
the following isolation transformers: HP M1247A Isolation Transformer
(110 V) or HP M1964A Isolation Transformer (220 V).
8. If used, connect the isolation transformer power cord to the wall power outlet.
9. Switch the monitoring instrument on, then the display. See the user's guide for the display
for a display performance assurance test.

1. Connect the 15-pin Male connector on the 1.5m signal cable to the video connector on the
rear of the display.
2. Connect the other end of the signal cable to the 15-pin Female connector on the adapter
cable.
3. Attach the 5 BNC connector of the adapter cable to the faceplate near the display.
4. Attach the 5 BNC connector of the M1181A-#A23 (or #A24) to the function box.
