The HP Component Central Monitor displays information received from other products
connected to the HP Care-Net network.
Other Networked Products
Equipment that can send information to the HP Component Central Monitor include:

Bedside monitors such as the HP Component Monitoring System or HP Compact Configured
Monitor.

HP Digital UHF Telemetry System.
w HP Central Monitors (such as another HP M2300A Component Central Monitor, the HP
78560A Central Monitor, or the HP 78504/508A Central Monitor).
If a patient is monitored primarily by another HP Component Central Monitor; that patient is
monitored by the second HP Component Central Monitor as a Consulting Bed.

Recorders and Printers
Recordings requested at the HP Component Central Monitor or from any networked product
can be made on:
w HP M1116B Recorder Module: one HP M1116B is standard and is housed in the computer
module rack. An additional recorder module can be located either in the computer module
rack or in a remote rack.

HP M1117A 4-inch Thermal Recorder
If a printer is connected, reports requested at the HP Component Central Monitor or from a
networked product can be printed (with the exception of reports requested from HP 78534
Monitor Terminals).
Warning
DO NOT use an HP M1116A Recorder Module with the HP Component
Central Monitor. Use of an HP M1116A in the same rack with an ElP
Ml 116B can result in damage to the HP Ml 116B, rendering it inoperable.
